Hello! And thanks for stopping by Bergen Gardenista. We're  K and Sergio,  and we want to share our love for nature with our clients.  We lived in Mahwah, New Jersey, each of us with successful careers, but there was a scratch we couldn’t itch. In the evening and weekends, we started working on Bergen Gardenista as a team.  Secretly we always wanted to collaborate as husband and wife, but our industries didn’t allow for the type of collaboration. 

On a personal note, my wife is a native Ecuadorian and I'm  (Sergio)  from Uruguay.   We met in New Jersey twelve years ago and since that day we became inseparable best friends.  I am an electrician graduated in Uruguay, but when we moved to the United States, the love and dedication for nature grow and we founded Bergen Gardenista.  I got a Landscaper Certificate from Rutgers University.  In addition, I have an NJ pest Lic, EPA organic fertilizer license, and we believe that continuous education is important. We love green luscious grass, native perennials and we love to share our thoughts and photos on Instagram.  When we are not chasing rabbits and deer in our backyard.

My wife is an accountant, and she recently graduated from Rutgers University with an MBA.   She has an accounting office where we both help immigrants in Passaic, NJ.  Besides with being an accountant, my wife is our designer decorator in chief/ She can also help you with home decoration tips, garden ideas + design, species, and how to develop an keep your houseplants alive.  Yes, she can do that !!

We recently moved to our ranch home in the Faradale area in Mahwah, and we want to share many of our home projects with you along with our beloved pets Bravo and Pepe
